Elizabeth Hewitt is Professor and Chair in the Department of English at The Ohio State University, Columbus. Her most recent books include Speculative Fictions: Explaining the Economy in the Early United States (2020) and volume 6 of the Collected Writings of Charles Brockden Brown: The American Register and Other Writing, 1807–1810 (2022). She is at the early stages of a new project on science fiction, possible worlds, and utopianism in early U.S writing.
